When you’re booking an event venue, make sure you’re booking the space not just because logistically it will work for your event, but also because you love the people & the team behind it all. Making “friendors” during your event planning is essential to truly enjoying the planning process as a whole. Not trying to brag, but we have a pretty awesome venue team at Butler’s Pantry(our parent company) & make it a point to connect with each of our clients to better their overall planning experience.
Spotlighting one of our key players – Paton Nix, Event Manager, is a know-all event guru on the venue team. She’s been on the venue team for almost 2 years, however she’s been with Butler’s Pantry since she was 16 years old. Paton started working as a hostess at the former Bixby’s Restaurant in the Missouri History Museum. Paton worked for Butler’s Pantry up until she went away to college to the University of Missouri, before coming for an internship in the summer of 2015. Once graduated, she came on to the Butler’s Pantry team full time as an event coordinator.
Paton has helped manage & execute fabulous events at 4 of our exclusive venues since she’s been back full time – Palladium Saint Louis, The Coronado, Joule & Donald Danforth Plant Science Center. Paton is also handling all remaining Butler’s Pantry events at the Missouri History Museum in 2018. She definitely has her hands full!
When Paton isn’t in the office – she enjoys drawing, cooking & a good night on the town with friends. You may also catch her at a Cardinals baseball game in the summer – soaking up the sun with a cold beer in hand.
Paton is such an asset to our team & an essential part of our day to day functionality. She helps ensure that we run like a well-oiled machine & we definitely couldn’t do it without her.
